25 ministers sworn-in in Orissa

A 25-member council of ministers was today sworn in to join the Giridhar Gamang ministry in Orissa.

Acting governor C Rangarajan administered the oath of secrecy to 12 ministers of cabinet rank and 13 ministers of state.

Five cabinet ministers of the previous J B Patnaik government were dropped.

The council of ministers has nine new faces, while two former ministers of state have been elevated to cabinet rank. Altogether 12 ministers were dropped in the new cabinet.
