The Border Security Force has arrested 28 Bangladeshis from the Indo-Pak border in the Samba sector of Jammu region.

A BSF spokesman said 28 Bangladeshis, including four women and three children, were arrested last night when they were trying to cross over from Indian territory. No objectionable material was recovered from their possession.

The spokesman said the Bangladeshis had been handed over to the local police.

The spokesman further said the Bangladeshis had been brought by some touts with a promise of employment in India and Pakistan, but were left to their fate and were asked to cross over to the Pak side on their own.

They are currently being interrogated by the police.
