Name: Rajeev Rai
Email: rajeev_rai@hotmail.com

Message: I am not sure what the government can do now, when they could not do anything when the plane landed in Amritsar. There is no news of any negotiation etc there. They will never give the truth also... DISGUSTED IS THE WORD FOR THE SAME THE WAY THEY HAVE HANDLED THIS.

Name: Aslam Hunani
Email: hunani@hotmail.com

Message: The government without any further thinking should release the prisoners for the life of people on the ill fated plane is more important than those of the militants. Militants can be tackled later, but if we lose a single life further that would be a very shameful thing on the part of the government

Name: Abhinav Roongta
Email: abhinavroongta@hotmail.com

Message: The govt should not accede to the demand of the hijackers at any cost. People who are experts in handling such situations should be consulted.

Name: Annie John Kalarickal
Email: johnann@emirates.net.ae
Message: In Jeremiah chapter 33:3 The BIBLE says "Call unto me and I shall show you great and mighty things which you don't know." If you believe GOD is true to his word He will surely answer your call and release the people as they released the 25. So believe in Him.

Name: salim
Email: sunsari@hotmail.com
Message: WE should act very fast

Name: Bimal Patwari
Email: pinnacleindia@vsnl.com
Message: Government should take a tough stand and not compromise with the hijackers. Any compromise will encourage further such incidents. Country has already faced problems due to compromises made with the kidnappers of Mr Mufti Mohammed's daughter.

Name: srivatsa
Email: diacore@bgl.vsnl.com
Message: Negotiate right now to get the peaple out safe. But go after every govt and group later. Do not forget and let it into another Rubaya episode

Name: Nita
Email: nita@chequemail.com
Message: Well, I think, the govt should take a strong stand and not give in to the demands. If they do so, there is no guarantee of hijackers releasing the hostages. It will in fact give ideas and ways to other terrorists to do the same and get their demands fulfilled. It is sheer blackmail. We should not forget that our men have risked their lives to get hold of these terrorists. Our govt and our men have faced this kind of situation before and have come out of it with flying colours. They can do so once again.

Name: vru
Email: vru@coolmail
Message: Speedy recovery of all passengers without any harm.

Name: puneet
Email: puneetsh@rediffmail.com
Message: the indian govt is sounding very confused and troubled, it should not lose its calm and the ministers should not carry that lost look. strict measures should be taken and the Taliban should be approached for not letting the aircraft take off. if necessary a third country or the UN should be taken into account and hence the complicated task of getting back the aircraft should be made more global issue rather than a domestic one. the more the globalisation, the more the focus on the terrorist activities going on in the country.

Name: jayakumar
Email: jk_2004@hotmail.com
Message: try to keep in touch and see to it that they do not kill any one, make them land in india and negotiate for the release of the passengers and keep working on the round up of the hijackers and on the release of the passengers. attack them after giving proper instruction to the pilot. hope it may help u. vande matharam. jai hind.

Name: Sridhar
Email: vssridhar@yahoo.com
Message: Try to get the plane back to India and do the negotiations.

Name: AS
Email: as24@hotmail.com
Message: Govt should send commando force to Kandahar even if it involves a fight with Afghanistan forces and storm the aircraft.

Name: Karthik V
Email: karthik_v@yahoo.com
Message: The government should accede to the demands of the hijackers. The govt failed to prevent the incident. The passengers can't pay for it with their lives. After all, our govt release terrorists if the ministers' daughters are held hostages. The same yardstick should apply to all passengers. In the future, the govt should make the security as stringent as it is in Israel.

Name: Milan
Email: milan@giasbm01.vsnl.net.in
Message: India must do what Israel did with Idi Amin. Get into Afghanistan and kill the hijackers. Also their colleagues in Indian jails should be hanged publicly. All Kashmiri militants in jail should be killed along with their families for every Indian killed on Flight 814.

Name: S K Anand
Email: sig@wmi.co.in
Message: Immediately shoot dead the three terrorists whose release is being sought by the hijackers.

Name: B ANOOP CHAND
Email: anoopchand@hotmail.com
Message: THE GOVT SHOULD NOT YIELD TO THE DICTATES OF THE TERRORISTS. THE GOVT SHOULD SEND A SPECIAL UNIT TO DESTROY THEM AND SAVE OUR PEOPLE'S LIFE AND HONOUR

Name: Umesh Gureja
Email: umesh@bom7.vsnl.net.in
Message: I think the indian government should ask all other countries that the plane is not allowed to land and in turn force the plane to return to any airport in India. Once done, Indians should buy some time for negotiations from them and meanwhile storm the plane with commandos. It does involve the risk of around 160 lives but then is there possibly any other situation where there is no risk to those lives? What if they still kill people after their demands are met??

Name: tarun arora
Email: tarun1998@hotmail.com
Message: Should immediately fly a crises management team to Afghanistan for on the spot negotations with the hijackers and talks with Taliban govt.

Name: sahib Singh
Email: ikr@hotmail.com
Message: The govt should give in to the demands of the hijackers to save the life of innocent passengers.

Name: sriram
Email: aradhanasriram@hotmail.com
Message: At no cost should the government accede to the hijackers demand because this will give an indication to other subversive forces that the govt gives in to pressure. contact taliban authorities and convince them through diplomatic channels and world pressure to allow an anti hijacking squad to liquidate these militants in the aircraft.

Name: Garuda
Email: garuda68@hotmail.com
Message: Negotiate, for now.

Name: Kaushik Mukherjee
Email: kaushikm@rediffmail.com
Message: Launch a Israeli type counter terrorist operation. They have already killed one Indian national without any provocation and will not stop at killing more. We might as well launch an operation and cut our losses before it is too late. A clear signal need to be sent out to these elements and their Pakistani benefactors, that we will not tolerate such brutality.

Name: ajay shah
Email: pridetec@bom3.vsnl.net.in
Message: Our govt should take other country in our confidence and should take stong action through our commandos and should release hostages OR they should take Israel's help.

Name: Mrinmoy Purkayastha
Email: mrinmoy@spjimr.ernet.in
Message: Do not accede to demands right now, however, indicate that a dialogue is possible. Since the aircraft has been refuelled at Kandahar, try to get it out of Afghanistan, preferably back to Indian territory. Storm the aircraft on the pretext of providing food/medical assistance and release the passengers. IMP: A senior official/minister should be in discussion with relatives of the passengers and keep them informed of the proceedings and make all efforts to take them into confidence.

Name: R Parthasarathy
Email: parthasarathyr@hotmail.com
Message: 1. Government should investgate how the grenades and AK 47s were taken inside the flight and should suspend them. 2. Should talk to Afghan Govt for ease of rescue. 3. Should take this issue immediately to UN for help and feedback.

Name: Praneet Deo
Email: Praneetdeo@hotmail.com
Message: Fulfill the demands of hijackers. If they want release of their colleges do it. This is not the time to act like a hero. The life of passengers is invaluable and any cost needed to save them is not a lot. We can take revenge on those bastard millitants later. I pray for the life of all passengers in the hijacked plane.God save them !!!!

Name: matangi
Email: matangi@positive-thinking.com
Message: Find a way to communicate directly with the hijackers. They seem confused as to what they want. Need to act very fast.. crew on board is in state of fatigue..serious mistakes can and are sure to happen. This is more than just giving in to demands..get international help fast !

Name: T.Sankar
Email: eximsankar@hotmail.com
Message: The government in the first place should not have let the aircraft take off at Amritsar. NSG commandoes should have stormed the aircraft then. Now, the govt should ask Taliban to send commandos inside the aircraft to rescue the passengers.

Name: Gaurav
Email: gvyas@home.com
Message: they should release the millitants

Name: Toine Jose
Email: toine@emirates.net.ae
Message: Government should talk to the hijackers and if they are not in our way, use force. Happy Christmas!

Name: sandeep
Email: peednas999@hotmail.com
Message: THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FIRST OF ALL MONITOR THE SITUATION CLOSELY. PRESENTLY THE DEMANDS OF HIJACKERS INCLUDE RELEASE OF 3 OF THEIR MEMBERS, SO PRESENTLY THE GOVT SHOULD ACCEPT THE DEMANDS OF HIJACKERS KEEPING THE SAFETY OF 165 PASSENGERS ON BOARD.IF ANY FURTHER DEMANDS ARE MADE,THEN THE GOVT. SHOULD BROOD OVER IT.

Name: shitij
Email: shitij_t@usa.net
Message: It is a tough call but it should be a state policy that NO NEGOTIATIONS with terrorists, else these kind of acts will continue.

Name: kdesai
Email: kdesai@rediffmail.com
Message: The government on one side should negotiate with them for the release of the hostages and on the other hand ask Israel's help to send commandos to weed out the terrorists.

Name: Kishore G U
Email: kishoreu@bgl.vsnl.net.in
Message: Since there is little time & more things to do, the govt must and should go in for peaceful negotiations and see to that the other countries co-operate with regards to the plane's safety, if the hijackers are planning to go places.

Name: manoj ramachandran
Email: manojram@hotmail.com
Message: Keep away politicians like Sharad Yadav from the hijacked plane. Keep up all diplomatic efforts to get the passengers safely released. The hijackers may be offered partial amnesty.

Name: gopichandran
Email: gopichandran@yahoo.com
Message: we should send our commandos to afghanistan to release the passengers and to kill the militants.

Name: samir sahu
Email: samirs@emirates.net.ae
Message: It appears that though the militants are ruthless they are very concerned that they are not identified as 1.They took their time disclosing their identity and 2. killed the man who had seen their face. The militants in captivity should be released. Instead, tire out the hijackers and give the offer to release the hijackers without attempting to establish their identity in exchange of the hostages.

Name: RVEnkatesh
Email: rv@hotmail.com
Message: Try to establish diplomatic relations with the hijackers; send in our commando forces to get the passengers safely released. Do not offer them amnesty. Blow up the group after the mission is accomplished. Punish the airport staff for being negligent, also haul up the ministry of civil aviation for this mess.

Name: Venkata N Vagvala
Email: vagvala@hotmail.com
Message: Should somehow let the flight come back to Indian soil for negotiations and should kill them all on board in cold blood with Black Cat commandos. Should not give in even at the cost of 150 lives on board I repeat even at the cost of those 150 people. yes even if my own parents is on board that is what I would say Do not give in no matter what.

Name: shaik maqsood
Email: taufiq_67@rediffmail.com
Message: this is so a inhuman act

Name: sanjiva shenoy belle
Email: modern@bgl.vsnl.net.in
Message: govt should take help from Kabul and send commandos to save those poor passengers.

Name: mahesh
Email:johnindia@vsnl.com
Message: govt should not surrender to terrorist activities and should continue diplomatic efforts. it is very dengerous to accept any demands from any corner.

Name: Devendra Parulekar
Email: devendrap@roltanet.com
Message: Storm the damned plane and shoot the brains out of such terrorists. Meanwhile keep them and their bosses busy on the negogiating table and mislead them. Send a crack commando team.

Name:raghavan
Email: rsriyengar@yahoo.com
Message: govt should keep in touch with afghanistan to release all the passengers and also for the handing over of all the brutal hijackers and should hang all the hijackers without any place for second thought or humanity (as a lesson for all other terrorist elements inside and outside the country)

Name: kuttan menon
Email: kuttan29@rediffmail.com
Message: It is very important that safety of the passengers on board is not compromised. The plan should be to be in contact with the Taliban in Afganistan and negotiations. If a chance comes, little force can be employed.

Name: J S Sekhar
Email: jssekhar@hotmail.com
Message: First of all, it was a faux pas on the part of the government to let the flight take off from amritsar. it lost control of activities once it flew abroad. And in Afghanistan, the government has little chance to get diplomatic help from Taliban. Government should bring pressure on Taliban either 1. for release of passengers by a suitable action by Afghanisation Govt 2. Force the flight to leave Afghanistan so that handling the situation is easy. Make a deal with Taliban for a military action by our forces silently. Pakistan help can be sought

Name: Srinidhi
Email: sboray@hotmail.com
Message: DO NOT succumb to the pressures of the terrorist. The 'fundamental' becoming is a flaw of a certain religious idea. The New Millennium should consciously arise to this brutal reality manifesting violently. Terrorist by definition propagate their idea through use of sheer brutal force. It is worth a million lives to conquer this evil. Secularism opens vistas of harmonious living conditions and is an index of spiritual maturity. My heart bleeds for the people who are undergoing torture and pain and also for their family members. But this is a time for test and endurance for a New Millennium to behold a moment take a look at present, past and future that they intend to live in. World leaders, especially religious leaders must come out and use their learning to guide the civilisation towards a harmonious living. Also terrorist should be provoded an opportunity to lead a new life and changed life.

Name: vikas dixit
Email: vikas@tawoos.com
Message: The government should cave in to all the demands and after the safe release of all the passengers has been secured, black out Jashmir for 6 months and kill each and every militant there. If it involves war with pakistan then so be it !!! I fully support what russia is doing in Chechnya. The moral fabric of the so called 'mujahidins' cannot be converted and we have to annihilate them to avoid recurrance of these problems. If you recall a terrorist was released in lieu of Muti Mohd Sayeed's daughter, don't 185 common lives equate to that of 1 VIP!!

Name: DEEPU.MADHUSUDANAN
Email: raju1@md3
Message: The goverment should ask what are the demands for the hijackers

Name: Rahul Bhardwaj
Email: eishaan@mailcity.com
Message: It's high time India should take some hard measures. It is very clear that Pak.... has their hand behind everything . They should be told if anymore casualty is there , we will hit back very hard & we should mean it.

Name: arun kumar
Email: arunmehndi@village.com
Message: the government of india should ensure the release of all the passengers on board at every cost

Name: Amit Jairath
Email: admiinistrator@yahoo.com
Message: I strongly condemn this act of cowardice. Play the game as it is played. Face to Face. Don't backstab. Does it seems very heroic to kill a barehanded newly married guy ? These are a bunch of cruel bastards with no human feelings. They don't deserve to live. Once caught, they should be hanged publicly.

Name:Sam
Email:

Message: I am writting from Dubai and was there at the military airport in Dubai as I have a friend on board this flight. Under this circumstances, the govt should not release kashmiri militants, please remember when militants were exchanged for the release of a minister's daughter (who was a doctor) the terrorist activities increased therefore no way should they give in. they must put all pressure on the Taliban to release all passengers and no circumstances should the plane be allowed to fly again and definately should not be allowed to land in India

Name: Asish
Email: asisht@usa.net

Message: Negotiations needs to be started for the indian force to be at Dubai or at kandahar to conduct an operation to grab control of the flight back.. These mercenaries are ruthless.. as they have already killed one they would kill more. Time is less so grab back at least the rest is alive

Name: Anil Sharma
Email: TheAnilSharma@hotmail.com
Message: The Govt should take the larger perspective into account. No prisoners should be released, else tomorrow everyone will start hijacking planes. Let a strong and fast action take place like storming the plane stealthily and getting all passengers free and getting all the hijackers nabbed. The number of criminals in prison will then move 5 up instead of going 2 down. That will teach them a lesson. But the govt should be STRONG and FAST ACTING -- if any help from US or elsewhere is required, it should be fast.

Name: SDNGOWDA
Email: ngowda@rediffmail.com
Message: THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT IS NOT SUITABLE TO HANDLE THE REINS OF THIS COUNTRY

Name: Vishwanath
Email: mbvish@yahoo.com
Message: Your coverage of this hijack is appreciated. Thanks for giving rich information. Government is also handling in a good manner. One more thing is govt should give latest updates to the relatives of the passangers who are aboard. Thanks and regards

Name: Gopi Poduval
Email: clicd@md4.vsnl.net.in
Message: From the news I understand that the hijackers are wanting the release of militants imprisoned. The govt should not yield to their demand, instead get the militants out of prison and in full view of television network and state that even if a single passenger is injured the militants will be shot dead. I know the rule of the land does not permit this but rules are for the protection of people. Hence bend it now. If another passenger is killed shoot one militant. Let the Govt show its resolve.

Name: sanjay narang
Email: sannar007@hotmail.com
Message: We must send our special task force to afghanistan if the afghan government allows the same, because we can not rely on taliban government as they themselves are allegedly involved in same activities. Further releasing the millitants will not be an appropriate solution as history tells that such a step will encourage such incidents. Till some solid steps are taken it is necessary to make hijackers believe that their demands are been considered seriously.

Name: DAVINDER SINGH CHAWLA
Email: rajuchawla@hotmail.com
Message: goverment should do whatever is possible to get the indians released by hook or crook.

Name: ramu
Email: sri_11@hotmail.com
Message: I hope this terrorism is eating away india. We better talk with pakistan and do whatever for the sake of indians regarding kashmir. Else let them give arms to us we will fight the pakistani and afghan mercaneries. cant we indians fight those who cannot face us directly? let them come and fight us we will show our might. Else let them start doing something for kashmir. it is unnecessary for us to just keep dragging the issue. it all started becoz of that hurriyat conference.

Name: purushu
Email: puru43@hotmail.com
Message: If this Islamic threat is affecting China Russia and India, then the wisest thing to do will be for these three countries to join hands and wipe out all Islamic terrorrists from the face of the earth and slap the Islamic countries that are secretly supporting them. Only then this menace can be eradicated. The stupidity of the Muslims to think that they can conquer the world is a fallacy.

Name: Vasudevan Seshadri
Email: svdev@yahoo.com
Message: The Govt has already done a major blunder by allowing the flight to take off from Amritsar. Now it is highly imperative that the flight is held in its current location and the senior people rush out there and start negotiations. Where ever be the flight, the lives of those people are more important than the nature of govt at that place.

Name: ulhas
Email: kirpy0007@yahoo.com
Message: In my view the government should not have allowed the aircraft to leave the Indian air space. It should have been the endeavour of the security forces present at Amritsar airport to prevent the aircraft from taking off to Lahore. Now that the aircraft is in a foreign as well as a hostile country, it is going to be impossible for any of our so called "CRACK TEAMS" to do anything about it. This is where the diplomatic maturity and persuassive prowness of our government will come into play. Hope we can get the passengers and crew back safely. AND KILL THE BLOODY HIJACKERS PLUS THEIR COUNTERPARTS IN THE INDIAN JAILS.

Name: Satinder Singh
Email: ravi_nj@yahoo.com
Message: What can they do? They have to wait and not give in. But as it has been the case in the past, the Sikhs are blamed first by the world media. Why would a Sikh hijack a plane to Afganistan and ask for Kashmiri militants to be released?

Name: karan verma
Email: kiran7@usa.net
Message: the govt.should put in place effective commando units and some how gain entry, disguised or backdoor entry. we can't expect the negotiations to be reasonable. even otherwise it's not advisable as it will only boost similar dastardly events. but most critical thing to be kept in mind is that the passengers should be safe. if no other option works out the govt should accept their demands...

Name: Aravind Ghosh M
Email: aravind@wilco-int.com
Message: I think all the related islamic fanatics know about the hijack, including the pakistani govt. But still they are trying to cover themselves, or else why did they refuelled the airbus to the maximum capacity and not only up to the level where it can fly till Kabul. I think Indian govt with help of US and Russian authorities must chalk out a plan to attack the airbus instead of going in defence. A future plan to launch a counter offensive action against the fanatics in association with Russia and China by forming a security a triangle.

Name: karan verma
Email: kiran7@usa.net
Message: plan should be worked out to see if it's possible to drug the food and water...which will act slowly so that the hijacker's might possibly be drugged.

Name: PAUL
Email: kpssingh@mbox3.singnet.com.sg
Message: REGARDING THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGERS TAKE HELP FROM THE WORLD COMMUNITY. DON'T MAKE UNNECESSARY STATEMENTS. TRY TO BE CALM AND WAIT FOR THEIR DEMANDS. PILOT CAN GIVE SOME CLUES IN THEIR OWN SECRET SIGNS. WAIT AND PRAY.

Name: Andy
Email: andy@hotmail.com
Message: They should use commandos to ambush the plan and flush out the hijackers.....make sure each one of them is shot...NO ARRESTS!!

Name: JITIN BHARGAVA
Email: jitin_74@yahoo.com
Message: DO NOT BARGAIN, SEND COMMANDOS AND SHOOT THOSE BASTARDS.

Name: Anand Ananth
Email: anand.a@mailcity.com
Message: The government should negotiate with the hijackers to secure the release of the passengers and the crew. Once this is done, exterminate the hijackers, their friends and patrons,in such a way that no one tries these things again.

Name: Kallol Chaudhuri
Email: kallol_ch@yahoo.com
Message: Start negitiations, let the passengers be friendly with the hijackers. Try persuading them that they should give up, let their morale go down, poor living conditions in the plane make people weary and tired and they will finally give up.

Name: Rajesh Rajora
Email: rajrajora@hotmail.com
Message: The government of India should have stopped the takeoff from Amritsar. Now that the hijacked plane is in Afghanistan, the hijackers would have a safe passage and the destiny of 152 passengers is not in the hands of the government anymore...
