Manipur minister escapes attempt on life

Manipur's Education Minister S Rajen escaped a grenade attack at his official residence last evening.

His seven-year-old son suffered minor splinter injuries on his forehead, doctors said.

According to official sources, sentries at the minister's bungalow and Central Reserve Police Force personnel fired at the fleeing miscreants who threw the grenade but missed them.
