AIADMK ministers quit

The two AIADMK ministers in the Union ministry -- M Thambi Durai and K M R Janardanam -- today submitted their resignations to Prime Minister A B Vajpayee.

The ministers' resignation follows a directive from party chief J Jayalalitha in the light of the rejection of her three demands by the Union cabinet on the Bhagwat-Fernandes issue.
