Kashmir gets hot!

Heat wave conditions prevailed in Bihar, Kashmir and south Gujarat, and in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Jammu, north Gujarat, north central Maharashtra, Vidarbha and in parts of Manipur, Sikkim, west Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh.

They were above normal in parts of Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and the plains of west Uttar Pradesh from where the data were sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
