India repulses another Pak foray into Siachen

An attempt to capture the Fateh 5770 post by Pakistani troops in the Siachen glacier was repulsed by the Indian army late last night, defence ministry sources said in New Delhi today.

The attack, this time on the southern glacier, came barely two days after the Pakistanis suffered heavy casualties in an attempt to capture a post in the northern glacier.

A sentry noticed some movement towards the post just before midnight yesterday and alerted others. The jawans of a parachute battalion deployed there, repulsed the attack and were successful in killing at least two intruders.
