Vivek: I'd do a triple role!

July 26, 2006
Vishalji asked me if I could play the guitar and I said, 'No, but I can learn.' So, he arranged a teacher called Sarosh for me. I had just five to six proper lessons and the rest of it was lots of practice. I had lots of cuts on my fingers playing constantly at home and after my shots. And we also had the great guitarist Mr Saif Ali Khan on the sets who would help me. I would watch him play and wondered how he played so well. He would ask me to work hard.

My inputs for this character are nothing but hard work. It was all Vishalbhai's vision. I am hungry to work with him again. His guidance was so phenomenal that I became Kesu and started living in the character. I was only doing Omkara at that time, as I like to do one movie at a time.

I am Ajay's lucky mascot (laughs). Every time I work in Ajay's film, it's a superhit. We have had four superhits in a row -- Company, Masti, Kaal, Yuva -- and this is the fifth.

I am hoping this film does well. In my four years in the industry I haven't had even one year working without Ajayji. That says a lot about our relationship.
