Bose

The character I played in Bose was bubbly. I had not done such a character before. Till then, I had done soft, quiet characters -- quite unlike me actually!

When my relatives saw me onscreen, they used to say, 'My God! She looks so paavam [meek, gentle]!' In real life, I am different. It was only in Bose that I played the real me. But my role in the film was not that important, I must admit. It was like in all commercial movies.

Srikkant did a wonderful job in the film as an action hero. It was his first action film, and my third film with him. We

shot many scenes in Kyrgyzstan, and had great difficulty in communicating with the locals. Nobody knew English there, and so we spoke in sign language all through. Food was also a big problem, till we discovered a Mumbai-type restaurant. That saved us!

It is always different working with an experienced artist like Kamalji, and an upcoming artiste like Srikkant. As Srikkant is from my generation, he's a friend. We pull each other's legs. With Kamalji, I was very scared of him. Of course, I laughed a lot when he cracked jokes but I did not have the courage to crack any jokes with him.
