A look at the major headlines this week:

* Vivek Oberoi has signed on for John Mathew Mathan's second film (his first was Sarfarosh with Aamir Khan). Ajay Devgan and Shahid Kapoor may also be roped in.

* While on Vivek, his first reportedly international film, The Invaders, has been renamed Singularity and the script has been altered. While Aishwarya Rai is definitely in the project, Vivek has not been officially signed on yet.

* Yet another star has joined the political arena: Govinda will contest for the Congress in the Mumbai North parliamentary constituency.

* The leading lady for Rishi Kapoor-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Dogs is still a question mark. Apparently, the makers want Rani Mukerji, while Bachchan wants Preity Zinta. Meanwhile, producer SM Ausaja claims that neither heroine may be comfortable with the role, as it requires lovemaking scenes with Rishi Kapoor. Ausaja's vote, meanwhile, goes to Sushmita Sen!
