Govind Nihalani, who is directing Bachchan in Dev, dropped in to wish the superstar. Dev also stars Om Puri, Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

After Abhishek's engagement with Kareena's sister Karisma broke off, Bachchan reportedly declared he would not work with Kareena. She was replaced by Rani Mukerji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, Black, which stars Bachchan.

But Bachchan did not back out from Dev, as he had signed for the film before January.
