Sunny Deol's last few releases may have performed abysmally at the box office, but he is very pleased with his role in Khel. "I liked the script and loved the character," he told rediff.com in an interview.

Deol once again plays a cop in Khel. He donned the khaki uniform for several other films like Tridev, Vardi, Lootere, Farz and Indian.
