Prashant Narayanan was noticed in his debut film, Chhal, directed by Hansal Mehta.

Like his first, his second film Waisa Bhi Hota Hai, also sees him as a gangster. But the actor is certain he will not be typecast. Another upcoming film, Saurabh Shukla's directorial venture Mudda, sees him as a collegian.

Prashant will also been seen in Oscar-winner Florian Gallenberger's Bengali film, Shadows Of Time, a German production.
