Singer Kumar Sanu won the Artist of the Decade Award. It was presented by Moroccan singer Ishtar Alabina.

Both the singers also performed at the ceremony.

The other winners were: Adnan Sami, Best Pop Album for Tera Chehra; Anand Raj Anand, Best Music Director for Kaante; and Pankaj Udhas, Lifetime Achievement Award.
