After last year's fiasco Maine Dil Tujko Diya directed by and starring Sohail Khan, he tries his luck in Lakeer.

Khan's earlier directorial ventures, Auzaar, Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya and Hello Brother, had also failed to impress audiences.

Salman's kid brother had, however, made a mark with his tiny role in Prawaal Raman's Darna Mana Hai. Whether Lakeer will help revive his career remains to be seen.

The music of Lakeer has been composed by none other than A R Rahman. Pop group Viva make their Bollywood debut by rendering one of the numbers. Daler Mehndi, who is now facing an accusation of human trafficking, has also sung one of the songs.
