After two 'mature' roles in his previous films, John Abraham plays the lighter role of a college student in Lakeer.

In his debut film Jism opposite Bipasha Basu, John played Basu's lover who kills her husband. The film went on to become a hit. His next film, Saaya, saw him play a widower who is haunted by his dead wife.

"I don't think I will be lost in Lakeer in the presence of so many stars," he smiles. "It is a pleasure to work with such gentlemen!"

The actor was working as a media planner at an advertising agency before the ramp beckoned. Soon after shifting to modelling, he won the Mr Gladrags title in 1999. A couple of years later, movies followed.
