While Sunny and Sohail hail from a rich family, Suniel Shetty and John Abraham play two brothers from a lower income group in Lakeer.

Suniel's debut home production Khel, starring Deol, Ajay Jadeja, Celina Jaitley and him, did not click at the BO. He says, "I am disappointed Khel failed. We released it at the wrong time [October 2, a few days before Diwali and Dusshera]. People were not going to theatres then as they were enjoying the festive season. As a producer, I had felt the four-day holiday would work for the film.

"But everyone has been paid! If distributors have lost money, I told them we could work something out for my next film, Rakt, which is 80 per cent complete. I plan to release in April 2004."

Rakt is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and stars Sanjay Dutt, Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu.
