Saif Ali Khan’s complex avatar in Ek Hasina Thi is a departure from his cool and casual persona seen in films like Dil Chahta Hai and Kal Ho Naa Ho.

With the success of Kal Ho Naa Ho, Saif’s popularity has soared to new heights. The actor plays a war hero for the first time in J P Dutta’s LoC: Kargil.

As an aside, it may be recalled that Saif’s character in Kundan Shah’s Kya Kehna! had shades of grey to it.
