Journalist-turned-director Khalid Mohamed’s debut film Fiza, starring Karisma Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Jaya Bachchan, was critically acclaimed. Fiza is said to be one of Karisma’s best films.

Though Khalid's second film Tareekh, starring Raveena Tandon, is ready, the film has been shelved due to differences between the producers and financers.

Khalid earlier penned the book, To B Or Not To B, a biography of close friend Amitabh Bachchan, which was gifted to the superstar on his 60th birthday last year.

Khalid is now writing a fictional novel based on Mumbai’s Irani restaurants.
