Shobhana [Mitr -- My Friend]

Shobana played the bewildered NRI wife in Revathy's Mitr -- My Friend. Suddenly reviled by her husband and daughter she won yet another National Award for the role.

It may not have been a particularly tough part for the Malayali actress, but she kept the audience riveted on her beauty and vulnerability. Even though she played the whining loser, she did it with grace.
