Shah, Rizvi remanded till April 30

Naseem Rizvi, producer of the film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, his assistant Abdul Rahim Allah Baksh and noted financier Bharat Shah, held on the charge of alleged nexus with underworld, were today further remanded to judicial custody till April 30 by a special court in Bombay.

The trio were produced before designated judge A P Bhangale, who is hearing cases under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

In a related development, Shah today moved Mumbai High Court in a fresh bid to seek bail. His bail plea has been rejected four times by the lower court and High Court.

On April 11, Shah's bail plea was rejected by the special court. Aggrieved, he once again moved the High Court, which had earlier turned down his petition for liberty.

After the application, the special judge allowed Rizvi to use a shaving blade in the jail at his own cost. The jail superintendent was directed to provide him a fresh blade on every occasion. The blade will be kept under the supervision and care of the Superintendent of Thane jail, the judge ruled.

Rizvi's lawyer Sayaji Nangare pleaded that his client be provided a shaving kit which included shaving cream, brush, razor and twin blades.
