The tabla maestro is one of the first brand ambassadors in India. Since the 1960s when the Taj mahal brand was launched, its slogans have undergone a metamorphosis, from "Ah! Taj" to "Wah! Taj.

Zakir Hussain's association with the brand has made Taj Mahal tea it a household name.
