ICICI Bank has reported a 32.23 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 361.18 crore (Rs 3.61 billion) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2003, compared to Rs 273.13 crore (Rs 2.73 billion) in the same period previous fiscal.
Total income on consolidated basis (includes performance of subsidiaries), has, however, declined to Rs 3,371.65 crore (Rs 33.72 billion) in the period under review from Rs 4,139.11 crore (Rs 41.39 billion) registered in Q2 of last year, the bank said in a release in Mumbai on Friday.
On a standalone basis, the country's largest private bank has posted a 41 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 401.4 crore (Rs Rs 4.01 billion) in Q2 [Rs 285.3 crore (Rs 2.85 billion) in the same period of last fiscal), while total income was pegged lower at Rs 3,050.71 crore (Rs 30.51 billion) [Rs 4,002.29 crore (Rs 40.02 billion)].
For the first half ended September, the net profit and total income stood at Rs 741.6 crore (Rs 7.42 billion) [Rs 538.2 crore (Rs 5.38 billion) in the same period of last fiscal] and Rs 5,950 crore (Rs 59.50 billion) [Rs 6,866.91 crore (Rs 68.67 billion)] respectively, it added.
