At the end of the day-long conference at the ISB, the ‘Icon of the Year’ award was given out, on behalf of the students of the institute.

This year, the students picked Dr Anji Reddy, founder of pharmaceutical company, Dr Reddy's Labs, and Ramalinga Raju, founder and Chairman of Satyam Computer Services.

While Satish Reddy, Dr Anji Reddy's son and the CEO of Dr Reddy's Laboratories chose to accept the award on his father's behalf, Ramalinga Raju personally came down to the ISB to pick his up.

"When I decided to come back from the US after my studies, everyone thought I was mad. But I was determined to come to India and start my own company. I am glad I have succeeded," Raju told students.
