Outstanding features: Toshiba's Qosimo series of laptops are high on multimedia features.

The laptop features the Intel Centrino processor, which runs at 1.86 GHz with 512Mb DDR2 RAM and 80Gb hard disk drive. It also doubles as an entertainment powerhouse, courtesy the built-in television tuner with remote and sound via the Harman Kardon stereo speakers. The Qosimo F20 also lets you burn DVDs.

This laptop is also meant for gamers as it comes with the Nvidia GeForce Go6600 128Mb Video card.

The 15.4-inch wide XGA LCD offers crisp and bright colours.

On the connectivity front, the Qosimo F20 features 802.11b/g (WLAN) and comes with Windows XP Home Edition pre-installed.

Drawbacks: The processor is still a solo core Pentium M. At this price, you can get a dual core laptop that can pack more processing power. Also, since it is targeted at multimedia enthusiasts, at least a 1Gb DD2 RAM would have added more value and increased the performance.

The final word: A great looking laptop that is high on multimedia features and satisfies gamers as well. Though priced high, the Qosimo offers best of both worlds, that is, multimedia and productivity.
