Outstanding features: A company well known for its performance products, this Taiwanese IT giant has, of late, introduced many laptops in India.

One of them is the U5A. A true road warrior, the U5A features a 12.1-inch LCD that is crisp and bright.

The U5A runs on Intel Pentium M 760 processor at 2.0 Ghz with 512Mb RAM. The U5A also has an 8X dual layer DVD burner, 80Gb Hard disk drive, Bluetooth and WLAN capabilities.

On the graphics department, the U5A does not fare too well; it features an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900. It also has an internal memory card reader, in case you need to transfer files from the memory card in your laptop.

The U5A comes with Windows XP Home Edition pre-installed.

Drawbacks: The keyboard layout is a bit cramped. Also, a better graphics accelerator would have added to the value.

The final word: A reasonably priced laptop that is ideal for people who are constantly on the move. This notebook is worth its price.
