After seven days of a dizzying swirl of clothes, glamour, business and much publicity, the sixth Lakme India Fashion Week drew to a close on April 26.

Most designers showed their Fall-Winter 2005 collections. Some of them, like Anita Dongre and Ranna Gill, went a step ahead and showed their Spring-Summer 2006 collections.

Most of them showed their pret (it stands for pret-a-porter, which means, literally, ready-to-wear off-the-rack. Note: it does not mean 'cheap') lines.

Some of them, like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, J J Valaya and Rohit Bal, showed their Diffusion (which means a cross between pret and couture) lines.

For our fashion-consciour Get Ahead readers, here are some trends you could be interested in!

Let's look at some of them.
