It's known as the Oceania collection.

Wendell Rodricks' outfits at the Lakme India Fashion Week displayed a new, universal werability.

Urban sophistication met tribal ethos.

Jersey, linen, lycra and flowy georgettes teamed with sea shells, faux fur, bones, plumage and metal footwear.

This collection also marked a first for Wendell: the use of prints, which the designer is not known for.

There was also a special surprise: the debut of little Nayantara, daughter of Indian supermodel Noyonika Chatterjee.
