Renee is in her higher kindergarten and goes to Beacon High School in Bandra [northwest Mumbai].
She will kill me if I don’t add that her part of the school is called Small Wonders!
Her first school was a playschool called Just for Kids in Versova, where I used to live earlier.
Later, I moved her to Tridha.
When I moved to Bandra, I looked at a lot of options including the Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
But I thought she should go to Beacon High at least until higher kindergarten. First, because it's close to my home. Next, I liked the environment. There are lots of kids and the teachers are very good. The classes are very colourful, so the environment is good.
Most important, Renee likes it.
We tend to feel that children don’t know much and that they will grow into a school. But that’s not true.
Kids have a way of letting you know if they like something or not. If a child of five says she doesn’t like something, it means there is a problem.
At that age, kids generally say what they feel.
