Going south? Take the winter special trains!

What: South Central Railways has introduced special winter trains between Secunderabad and Chennai, Secunderabad and Bangalore and Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam.

More about the trains: Each train will have 16 coaches, including one AC two-tier sleeper coach, one AC three-tier sleeper coach, 10 sleeper class coaches, two general second class coaches and a luggage-cum-brake van.

When will they ply? December 17 to January 17, 2005.

The schedule

Special train between Secunderabad and Chennai

~ Departure from Secunderabad via Train 702 at 7.45 pm on Sundays. Arrival at Chennai at 9.15 am the next day.

~ Departure from Chennai via Train 701 at 5.15 pm on Mondays. Arrival at Secunderabad at 7.45 am the next day.

Halts at: Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gundur stations.

Special train between Secunderabad and Bangalore

~ Departure from Secunderabad via Train 789 at 9.20 pm on Fridays. Arrival at Bangalore at 10.25 am the next day.

~ Departure from Bangalore via Train 788 at 6 pm on Saturdays. Arrival at Secunderabad at 8 am the next day.

Halts at: Kacheguda, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool Town, Dronachellam Junction, Gooty Junction, Anantapur and Dharmavaram stations.

Special train between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam

~ Departure from Secunderabad via Train 704 at 9 pm on Sundays. Arrival at Visakhapatnam at 11.05 am the next day.

~ Departure from Visakhapatnam via Train 703 at 7.30 pm on Mondays. Arrival at Secunderabad at 9.45 am the next day.

Halts at: Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Samalkot Junction, Annavaram, Tuni and Anakapalle stations.
