Superman may be up and flying, but the Man of Steel isn't soaring high enough.
Superman Returns is doing well worldwide, but nowhere near the super-successful Spider-Man films, with the buzz from the latest Spider-Man trailer currently dominating most-viewed Web clips.
Now, Sony Pictures has sent a new backlit Spider-Man 3 poster to select US theaters, and it's looking really exciting.
The poster features the spider on the superhero's chest, and --because the film features Spidey both in traditional red costume and a black avatar -- goes from red to grey to black, depending on which angle you look at it.
The much-awaited third installment reunites franchise director Sam Raimi with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco and JK Simmons from the first two films.
Also starring are Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace and Bryce Dallas Howard.
As the poster promises, the Spider hits theatres on May 4, 2007.
