Bollywood goes to Pakistan

Regardless of Paki-bashing in 2003 films like Maa Tujhe Salaam, Qayamat and Zameen, stars Urmila Matondkar, Suniel Shetty and Pooja Bhatt are engaged in bridging the chasm between India and Pakistan.

Urmila distributed sweets to Pakistan Rangers at the music launch of Pinjar, the Partition drama adapted from Amrita Pritam's novel. The actress also visited Lahore and Islamabad recently to shoot for a video album.

Shetty plans to organize a cricket match between India and Pakistan to raise funds for the International Indian Film Awards and Imran Khan's Cancer Hospital respectively.

Debutant director Bhatt plans to hold the premiere of her film Paap in Karachi.
