This one's for the kidsOver 160 films from 41 countries will be screened at the Golden Elephant 12th International Children's Film Festival to be held in Hyderabad from November 14 to 20, said Sai Paranjpe, chairperson, Children's Film Soceity of India. Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Devender Goud, who was also present at the press conference, added that, despite the Afghan-US war, the film festival would be conducted as per schedule. There will be 74 films -- including 19 feature films, 55 short films and one animation film -- in the competition section. Twelve films will participate in the Asian Panorama section, where a special award will be given. In the non-competitive Children's World section, 76 films would be screened, of which 13 would be feature films, 63 short and animation films. The festival will, for the first time, feature a three-day seminar -- from November 17 to 19 -- that will discuss the rights of the child. The participants will include a children's delegation from India, experts in the field of children as well as child right activists, said festival director P K Nair. UNI
