Rajasthan police object to BawandarBharati Dubey Jagmohan Mundra's Bawandar has been postponed for a week. The film will release on December 7. The Rajasthan police have taken objection to the film as Mundra has allegedly shown them in bad light. Although the director does not mind the objection, he cannot prevent the release elsewhere in the world. "I had to postpone the film primarily because the demand for prints increased after rumours that Bhanwari Devi wanted a ban on the film. I had planned to release the film with 30 prints. But now, I will release the film with 60 prints," he justifies. "Besides, there will not be a lack of theatres as there is no other release that day." Meanwhile, Bhanwari Devi has objected to Mundra making a film on her life without her consent. At the same time, she states that he has not fulfilled his promise of helping her buy a piece of land. According to her, she has become the laughing stock of her village.
