Abhishek-Karisma go public

It isn't that Abhishek Bachchan was embarrassed to be seen with his ladylove. Or that he wanted to keep his love life under wraps. It is only because he seen to be the progeny of illustrious and famous parents and not an individual in his own right that he preferred to keep a low profile. This was probably in accordance with the wishes of his ladylove too, Karisma Kapoor.

With the release of Refugee, Abhishek seems to have gained the confidence to accompany Karisma to not just parties, but also to her shootings and work place. He is said to have accompanied Karisma to her dubbing appointment, probably because he wants to spend time with her before she leaves on a long tour with Daler Mehendi.

It is another matter that the film-maker did not allow the couple to mix business with pleasure. Bachchan Jr had to cool his heels in the adjoining room while Karisma finished her dubbing, before she drove off with her
lover boy!

Akshay's still the Casanova

Ashay Kumar's friends are worried, but not about him. They feel they should warn the current bhabhi in contention, Twinkle Khanna, that their friend is not ready to settle down as yet. They are of the opinion that Twinkle is getting too serious too soon about Akshay.

The Casanova that he is, Akshay is allegedly two-timing her with another actress. But her friends are unaware that Twinkle herself is no saint. She is fully aware of her boyfriend's roving eye and is biding her time with him.

When will Salman learn?

Salman Khan's obnoxious behaviour is not limited to the confines of this country, where he is constantly snapping or picking a fight. Even while touring abroad, Salman is badly behaved and vulgar, say his sponsors.

At one of his shows, Salman is said to have got so carried away that he not only ripped open his shirt but also pulled out his belt, ready to zip down his pants! The sponsors quickly switched off the lights, making it look like a pre-decided item!

Besides, his nasty cracks and rude remarks have robbed him of many fans. It is time the actor took stock, pulled up his socks and took a crash course in manners.

Govinda sets record straight

It seems Govinda is trying to turn over a new leaf. He is working on becoming professional and organised. For instance, he arrived punctually at the function organised by the Income Tax authorities to felicitate the highest tax-payers, who held clean records, with a Sanman Patra. And that isn't all. Wife Sunita and son,Harsh accompanied him. This is probably to dismiss the rumour that his marriage is on the rocks.

But a bitchy co-star let the cat out of the bag when she said, "It is not Govinda who wants his wife to accompany him. It is his wife, Sunita, with her I-will-not-take-any-nonsense-any-longer stance, who is following her husband all over the place and ensuring that no further rubbish is being written."

With a strict wife like that, Govinda doesn't even require a public relations agent to cleanse his image. One only wished that his wife took note of the plight of her husband's film-makers and pushed him to report for shootings on time!

Sisters-in-arms

One would think that separation from her husband Vindoo would have depressed Farha. Instead, it has brought her closer to her family, says the beautiful actress. She is all poised to make a comeback again, but not for the big screen. Farha is content doing television serials, which, according to her, is a better and a more organised sector.

Blood, they say, is thicker than water. And this holds true in this case. For Tabu is said to have been the pillar of strength for Farha and helped her sister overcome this rough patch. The duo are now considering floating a software concern. Good luck to them!

Hrithik set to repeat magic

Hrithik Roshan fans should ready themselves for the magic of Fiza, the directorial debut of journalist Khalid Mohammed. Apparently, the distributors kept insisting that the film was too stark and realistic for a Hrithik-starrer. But Khalid wouldn't budge and refused to include any commercial elements for the heck of it. He has, though, incorporated a music piece, choreographed by the inimitable Saroj Khan, in which a tandav has been filmed on Hrithik. People who have seen the unedited version have gone into raptures over the sequence and predict Hrithik is all set to electrify the silver screen once again.
