Ash hurt, advised bed restKanchana Suggu Aishwarya Rai, one of the busiest stars in Bollywood now, was badly injured two days back when she fell off the stairs of her building in Bombay. Though she has not fractured any bones, the actress has been advised complete bed rest for one week by her doctor. Aishwarya was in Hyderabad last week shooting for Boney Kapoor’s Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. She returned to Bombay on the morning of February 6 and had reportedly complained of exhaustion. "I had arranged the trial of Mansoor Khan’s Josh for her on that day itself, but had to cancel it as Aishwarya told me she was feeling extremely tired," said her secretary Hari Singh. The same evening, she attended an award ceremony organised by the All India Filmgoers Association at Shanmukhananda Hall where she won the Best Actress award. Immediately after the function, she had to rush to the Taj Mahal Hotel for a party organised by Dr T Subbirami Reddy. She returned home late from the party and rang the doorbell. But before anyone could open the door, Aishwarya fell down the stairs. It is not known how exactly this happened, but the actress fell down nearly eight steps. Confirming the news, Aishwarya's mother, Vrinda Rai, said that "she is fine now. The doctor has advised her to rest for at least a week. There is a slight injury on her forehead and she has to apply ice packs on her elbow. She should be back in action by next week. There’s nothing serious and absolutely nothing to worry about." "All this happened because she was overworked. She has been shooting continuously -- day and night," added her secretary. Meanwhile, the dubbing for Mansoor Khan’s Josh, which Aishwarya was supposed to do this week, has come to a halt. Yash Chopra’s Mohabbatein and Raj Kanwar’s Dhai Akshar Prem Ke are the other films which have been affected by this accident.
