On Khiladi 420
The film is a suspense thriller and has lot of amazing moments.
One of the highlights of the film is a scene where I am standing atop a moving plane.
The script is a high point too. The director of Khiladi 420 is a writer himself (Neeraj Vora), so the film will obviously have a solid story. I am looking forward to its release.
On director Neeraj Vora
Producer Keshu, who is also a good friend, narrated the subject of the film to me.
Neeraj, who had written the script, enacted the scenes in such an interesting manner that I asked him to direct the film too. He is a prominent figure in Gujarati theatre and knows his job well.
It has been a pleasure working with this unit.
On his role in Khiladi 420
My role has seven shades to it. In fact, when I read the script, I was shocked that someone could even conceive of such a subject.
I would say that my role in Khiladi 420 is one of the most cunning characters I have ever played.
Actually, it's the sliest character ever seen on the big screen!
You see, whenever I play a character, I associate him with an animal and its behaviour pattern. For Khiladi 420, I thought of a jackal.
On the Khiladi series
The earlier Khiladis (Khiladi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Mr And Mrs Khiladi and International Khiladi) revolved mainly around my death-defying stunts.
I was looking forward to do something different.
Earlier, I did films solely for money. Or, if a friend came up with an offer, I couldn't say 'no'.
This film is therefore different, as there was no pressure on me.
On his forthcoming films
I am trying to complete a host of films. I have great films in the pipeline.
There is Suneel Darshan's Ek Rishta -- A Bond Of Love, with Amitabh Bachchan, whom I am working with for the first time. It has been a great experience.
The film also stars Juhi Chawla and Karisma Kapoor.
I have also signed Vipul Shah's new venture with Anil Kapoor and Dharmesh Darshan's film, Haan Deewana Hoon Main, with Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor.
On working with the Kapoor sisters
There is a big difference between Karisma and Kareena.
Deedar was the first film I did with Karisma.
Kareena, a kid then, used to come with Lolo on the sets. I remember playing with her. She has grown into a beautiful woman now *grins*.
I am working with her in Abbas-Mustan's Ajnabi.
On his roles
My aim is to do all kinds of roles.
Earlier, I accepted whatever I got. I must have played a cop in at least 26 of the 40-odd films I have acted in.
Now I am in a position where I am doing a Hera Pheri, a Dhadkan and a Jaanwar.
It's like... when an actor starts his career, money matters in his life. After he makes it, he begins to concentrate on doing variety of roles and subjects.
