'Pulp Fiction: opening scene is mind-blowing'
Want to know who are the people our stars admire? Or, which film sequences they are inspired by?
Pulp Fiction: The opening sequence of this film is mind-blowing. There are these two guys who enter a restaurant where they run into John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson. I thought the film -- and Jackson - are amazing. The one-liners in the film too, are commendable. Godfather III: This film remains an all-time classic. The scene where Al Pacino loses his daughter is my favourite. It has been brilliantly shot. Sholay: Another all-time favourite of mine. I love the scene where Dharmendra is tied to two poles and Hema Malini passes out after dancing on glass. Suddenly. Amitabh Bachchan comes out of nowhere and says, 'Main aa gaya hoon, Veeru.' He was so good in that scene, very effective. Naam: The dying scene of Sanjay Dutt was done superbly by Bhattsaab (Mahesh Bhatt). There are no heavy-duty histrionics involved here. Star Wars: There is a scene in the film where Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Ben (Obi-Van) Kanobi asks him not to become a starship pilot as there are lot of dangers involved. I like that a lot.
