'Super Cop' K P S Gill is likely to become Bihar governor Buta Singh's advisor if President's rule is imposed in the state.

Buta Singh had recommended President's rule on Sunday and dissolved the state assembly.

Sources close to Raj Bhavan told that Gill, if appointed, might be entrusted with the responsibility of fighting crime and improving the overall law and order situation in the state.

The name of retired Indian Administrative Service officer Vijay Shankar Dubey was also being considered for the post to run the administration in the event of President's rule, they said.

Dubey is known for his honest image and hard work. He had served Bihar for long, the sources added.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition and Bharatiya Janata Party President Lal Kishenchand Advani met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and impressed upon him the need to ensure that only 'competent and honest' people are appointed as advisors to the governor.

During a 15-minute one-to-one meeting at the PM's South Block office, Advani expressed apprehension that those who had been 'perpetuating jungle raj in the state for the past 15 years still have the evil design to rule by proxy through advisors', sources told PTI.

The BJP leader said the advisors selected should be 'capable and honest to effectively handle the twin evils of corruption and criminalisation that plague the state', the sources added.
