A drama on wheels is rolling across Rae Bareli and Amethi.
It was Priyanka's idea, to depict through a play the 'reality about India' as opposed to the BJP's India Shining campaign.
She got together local Congress workers to enact the skit on a stage attached to a mini-van that follows her about. "Where is India shining?" asks a performer pointing to a group of impoverished women and kids. "For them, India is not shining."
A mimicry artist is next, imitating Prime Minister A B Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. Vajpayee is the man who changes his statements often, and Advani is presented as the destroyer of mosques.
Priyanka is enjoying the play. So, it seems, are the locals.
Priyanka finally takes the microphone: "The only hope for the country is the Hand," she tells the cheering crowd.
