N Chandrababu Naidu and his wife N Bhuvaneswari have assets amounting to Rs 20.92 crore.
This was disclosed in the mandatory affidavit the Andhra Pradesh chief minister filed along with his nomination papers for the Kuppam assembly constituency.
Naidu's supporters filed two sets of nomination papers on his behalf before Returning Officer L Murali at Kuppam on Monday while the chief minister drove to the Criminal Courts complex in Hyderabad and took oath before Fifth Metropolitan Magistrate M Gandhi under the Representation of People Act as the TDP nominee.
Naidu is seeking re-election from Kuppam for a third consecutive term.
Before being submitted for scrutiny, the Information Technology-savvy chief minister's 'B' form and nomination papers were placed at the feet of Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple in Tirupati and a special pooja performed during the week-end.
Naidu's assets:
Property: 1,225 sq yard house at Jubilee Hills (worth Rs 1.21 crore), a housing plot (worth Rs 30 lakh) at Banjara Hills. He does not own agricultural land.
Vehicle: Ambassador car worth Rs 2.22lakh
National Savings Certificates: Rs 1,000
Cash: Rs 27,694
Bank deposits: Rs 4.94 lakh
Loans: None
Total: Rs 1.58 crore
He has paid income and wealth tax up to March 31, 2004.
Bhuvaneswari:
Property: 650 sq yard commercial building (worth Rs 1.51 crore) at Punjagutta, a 21-gunta plot (worth Rs 47.52 lakh) at Madhapur and 1.83-acre agriculture land (worth Rs 18.30 lakh) at Chander Kuppam.
Jewellery: 97 tolas of gold jewellery, 8kg of silver (worth Rs 7.77 lakh).
Shares: 19.25 lakh shares (worth Rs 16.36 crore) in Heritage Foods (India) Limited. Her investments in other unlisted companies are worth Rs 34.35 lakh.
