The Magnificent March 1995-2005
The Australian team needed a stamp of supremacy; a stamp that said they were the best team in the world across eras.
At least, statistically, they proved to be superior than 'The Invincibles' and the West Indian team of 1970s and 80s. Ironically, they beat the West Indies to break the record of most successive wins (11) held by the West Indies between 1983 and 1984.
Australia finished off the West Indian challenge in three days, defeating them by an innings and 27 runs in the second Test of the Frank Worrell Trophy at the WACA, Perth in 2000.
The hosts also went on to blank the West Indies 5-0.
