The last time India won an ODI against Australia in Australia dates way back to December 1991, in the second match of the B & H World Series, played at Perth. Opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth slammed a run-a-ball 60 to help India reach 208-7 in their 50 overs and then Ravi Shastri bowled a dream spell, claiming 5-15 in 6.5 overs to bundle out the Aussies for 101 in 37.5 overs.

With India going Down Under in December 2003 and Australia in such rich vein of form, beating them would be a huge high.
