Letter of the Day

October 15, 2001
India's latest problem!

India's latest problem is scoring in the last 15 overs. Who has been India's best in that last phase over the last few yrs? As a reminder - look back upon the India vs Pak match, Bangalore World Cup 96.

If it's still not clear - I am talking about Jadeja. Ajay Jadeja. The most spirited player the team has..sorry had. Where Mark Waugh, Shane Warne, Herschelle Gibbs or whoever from South Africa are let off even after they admitted to helping bookmakers, Wasim Akram & co are fined but allowed to play, and after England hardly even investigates its case. We go ahead and ban one of our finest without having concrete proof or admission of guilt.

And then there are complaints that we arent doing well. Well duhh. And while at that...did everyone forget Robin Singh? The guy didnt put a foot wrong, played better than any of the 'youngsters' have done, is fitter than the remaining 10 but is out just because he's old?

Signed
Rahul
