FIIs remain net buyers in August

Foreign institutional investors continued to be net buyers on Indian bourses during the first week of current month.

The net FII buying in the four trading sessions during the period August 2-5 stood at Rs 1.40 billion.

The FIIs' gross purchases during the period was Rs 4.938 billion against the gross sales of Rs 3.53 billion.

With the fresh FII investment, total FIIs' investment till August 5 has gone upto Rs 54.604 billion, according to figures available from the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
