Coal businessman in Lucknow kidnapped

Email this report to a friend

Some impostors kidnapped a prominent coal businessman from his house in Lucknow today.

According to the police, some people masquerading as officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation arrived at the house of businessman Anand Prakash Agarwal this morning and told him that their colleagues, who were staying in a five-star hotel, wanted to meet him. Then, they took Agarwal with them.

When Agarwal did not come back, his family informed the police about the kidnapping. The police checked with the CBI and on finding that these men were not from the organisation, a search for Agarwal was launched.

Two years back, a coal businessman, Nandkishore Rungta, was kidnapped and killed.

Coal businessmen in the city today closed their establishments in protest.
