The match had been thrown into doubt after a police statement on Tuesday said the death of their coach, Bob Woolmer [ Images ], three days earlier was now being treated as "suspicious".
After a meeting of Pakistan Cricket Board, International Cricket Council [ Images ] and World Cup officials, PCB spokesman Pervez Mir told Reuters: "We are playing. The chairman of our Board said we will play. The security is fine."
Pakistan were eliminated from the tournament on Saturday after a shock defeat by Ireland.
