Bobby Jindal, a leading Republican candidate for Louisiana governorship, has successfully raised $1.23 million for his election campaign.
He entered the race at the end of February.
"I am very thankful for the growing number of people who have contributed to my campaign over the past four months because they are excited about the fundamental change and reform my bold new vision will bring to Louisiana," Jindal said.
Till date, more than 1,260 people have contributed to Jindal's campaign.
A poll last month by Garin-Hart-Yang Research showed Jindal as the front-runner with a 2-to-1 lead over any other candidate from the Republican Party.
A similar poll released around the same time by Verne Kennedy also showed him as the leading Republican candidate.
