White House non-committal on cause of crash

The White House on Tuesday said it had no definite opinion as of now, as to whether Monday's American Airlines crash in New York was due to sabotage.

"We have not ruled anything in, we have not ruled anything out," White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said.

He said an investigation was being conducted by the National Transportation Board to ascertain the cause of the tragedy.

He said he was aware that some officials have ruled out terrorism angle in the mishap, but the White House wants to await the results of the investigation before reaching any conclusion.

He, however, clarified that White House did not intend to dispute the views expressed by other officials.
