Laden hails September 11 attackers
in latest video tape

In the latest video tape featuring a message by Saudi extremist Osama bin Laden aired by the Al Jazeera television channel on Thursday, the terrorist mastermind has praised the '19 students who shook the American empire'.

In the video tape, he said that all 19 terrorists who took part in the September 11 strikes on the United States were Arabs - 15 Saudis, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt and another from one of the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

Laden claimed that the September 11 strikes resulted in losses running into 'more than a trillion dollars on the New York stock market and elsewhere'.

He said that the strikes were in response to 'what is happening on our land in Palestine and Iraq' and called upon Muslims to carry out more such strikes.

He called upon Muslims to weaken the US economy with more terror attacks, pointing out the country derived its military might from the strength of its economy.
